just dance.through the eyes of ashley westwoodThe nightclub lights flashed red and blue, flickering through the dim open room. The bar was clean and ready, it's tender leaning against the marble surface, bored, rag in hand. It was almost five o'clock, time for people to start arriving. My little sister Carter and I had gotten here early to oversee the getting ready. The club looked great. Our D.J. was here, starting up the music. Lady Gaga's Just Dance came on loud over the speakers. I raised a hand, frustrated, motioning for him to turn the volume down. The ringing in my ears disappated slightly. I was wearing my favorite party outfit. It wasn't too glam, a little understated, perhaps too casual, but comfortable enough for dancing. A plaid miniskirt hung tight on my hips, hanging just over my upper thigh. It wasn't long enough to calm any of the boys down, but it wasn't short enough to show something that didn't need to be seen while I was grinding on some dude. Though I wasn't really planning on doing that tonight. I'd been staying away with guys since I'd said goodbye to Junior. To tell the truth, I couldn't get over him. I knew I was in love with him just the same, if not more than I had been the day we'd kissed. June had RSVP'd and I hoped tonight would be our chance to get back together. I wanted so desperately to feel those lips on mine again. I'd thrown in a few extra touches to my outfit. Like the grey lace stockings and grey legwarmers thrown over that, accompanied by patent leather heels. They shone with the faux polish patent seems to posses, my hot red manicured toes curled up inside. My top was a black tank of some sorts, draping over my chest and shoulders but hugging my curves at the waist and hips. It was hard to explain and I'd never been that great at talking about things anyway. My blonde hair was down, curled, a sexy little jeweled clip pushing back a few strands. My eyes were done up smoky, my lips a pale pink. I had gone without gloss and was instead wearing a tasty lip balm I hoped Junior would like if we happened to kiss again. I had my priorities straight. My sister, however, seemed to not care about the party and the chance to meet new guys. She was sulking at the bar, staring at the foor. She was wearing simple jeans and an Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirt. I could almost kill her for her carelessness. Where was her spirit, her spunk? She was single, for God's sake. Tonight would have been the night she could have met a guy, but she'd already ruined her chances by wearing that. Sighing frustratedly because it was a quarter past five and still no one had shown, I stalked over to the bar. I'll have a Cosmopolitan. I said, leaning across the bar, flashing my cleavage to the bartender. He slipped me the drink without charge.

OOC |: Just a note. Again, I'm making no limitations on what you want to post, but in this particular thread, I'd prefer if you kept it short. We need to fit a lot of people in and we don't have time to read through your character's little observations of things. Keep it short and sweet so we can get in all the drama possible here. (: Thank you. xoxo, awry.[/font][/blockquote]

Rea wasn't a slut, or a prostitute or a whore, but had slept around a few ties. enough to let people know, but not so many it really counted. today she was simply dressed. she paid no attention about a good dancing outfit, she just wore her striped shirt with hood, and daisy dukes[duh she had them. who couldn't resist them?] and couldn't be bothered. she rolled her eyes and sat down, glancing to ashley. se knew the girl slightly from school. "what are you trying to do, write hooker 101?" she drawled, sitting next to her. she ordered a soda, sliding a dollar across the counter. her dark hair was having all the lights bouncing off and she was immediately the center of attention. she flinched and turned away to face the corner, staring at it like she was waiting for it to come alive.
was she the only one not planning to sleep with some random guy?

just dance from the eyes of carter westwood
Across the bar, sitting there, sipping a Sprite, I spied a new girl walking over. I recognized her from school and I'd thought about talking to her a few times, but been a little intimated by the hair color and piercings. Not that they were bad or anything, I just wasn't used to them. I took another sip of my soda, the carbonation tingling on my tongue. I tried to focus on the burning sensation that got harder and harder to ignore in my mouth and forget the last time I'd been here. My parents didn't know, neither did my sister, sitting across the bar from me. Tai did, though. I wanted him to come, but at the same time, I didn't. What if he told my sister or something got out? I already had Miss BHS to worry about it, spreading it across school that I was becoming a bad girl. What are you trying to do, write hooker 101? The girl sitting between Ash and I said shamelessly. I clapped my hand over my mouth, trying to block out a giggle. Once the laughter had subsided in me, I let my cover go and sat up straight, intent on making a new friend tonight. Ash had chided me about my wardrobe all night. The dark-haired girl hadn't made a big deal, apparently. I knew I hadn't been wrong. 'Erm, no. She's teaching a class on it at the college. She's so hard-working and ambitious, she figured she'd do some research tonight.' I grinned happily, rotating back and forth on the bar stool, smiling even more at my sister's anger. She knocked back her Cosmo and ordered another one, obviously trying to ignore us. 'I'm Carter.' I smiled, returning to my new acquaintance.

Man, I had never seen the club this clean. Ash and Cart must have put a lot of work into getting it clean. I looked around the place, my newly blonde hair thrown in my eyes, hanging loosely over the color of my sports coat. Baggy gray jeans under a navy Volcom shirt and a black sportscoat was my outfit. I hadn't put much thought into it. Converse on the feet as always. I almost couldn't stand the days I had to wear riding boots.
There were three girls at the bar, two of which I recognized. It didn't look like a party, but I reminded myself that it was early yet and I could always leave if this didn't shape up the way I liked. I had been subconciously looking for a light brown head of curls, Katie Landry. She was beautiful, but she didn't seem to know it. I'd made a clear point in my head that I was going to make sure she found out tonight. Even if it meant bribing the DJ to play a slow song with all the cash in my pocket. Confidently, I swaggered over to the bar, grabbing a seat next to Carter. Ash seemed upset, and I didn't like to cross her when she got in her moods. I didn't know a single soul who did. Carter seemed to be very consumed with Rae Landree, a girl I knew the name of partially because her surname so closely resembled Katie's. Since Cart hadn't noticed me, I decided to lean over and nudge her in the back with my shoulder. Oh, hey, Paxton! She giggled, throwing her arms around me. I gave her a big sloppy kiss on the cheek and she laughed, wiping her hand across her face. This guy will be the life of the party later tonight. Carter grinned, speaking to Rea again. I grinned, raising a hand in greeting. Hey. Don't listen to her. Back to Cart again. I might not fufill your expectations. I've got a pretty little lady on my mind, and all my dancing is gonna be for her tonight. Carter frowned but seemed thrilled by the idea as well. Then I'll just have to play matchmaker tonight. Rea ignored the feeling someone was watching her. then when she said something, she hears a stifled giggle. she looked out of the corner of her eye. oh, it's her sister carter. rea barely socialized with anyone, even if she was in the same clique. erm, no. she's teaching a class on it at the college. she's so hard-working and ambitious, she figured she'd do some research tonight. carter said. rea held back an amused smile, her face still a mask. "interesting. i hope you have success." she said. she was finished talking to that girl and turned her attention to the other. she knew people were always intimidated by her hair and her piercings, especially her attitude, and the way her eyes stared at you, but other people learned to ignore it and the fact that she was a prep and artist and not at all an emo freak/ something she was glad for. i guess you could call her a rebel, too. she saw a guy with blonde hair enter, then a few minutes later carter told he he;d be the life of the party. a smile pulled on her lip. "that's something i'd like to see." she said, feeling oddly unsociable until she found someone else to converse with. not that she hated carte, ,she just needed more to occupy herself. she loved parties not to party, well she did, but because you could get away with anything.

Harlow still couldn't figure out why she was here. The flashing lights, the music pounding in her ears, this wasn't where she wanted to be at the moment. Earlier that same day, her boyfriend Casey called. Although he lived back in Orange County where she had grown up...they agreed to make it work. Moving to Laudeville wouldn't be the end. Apparently he'd changed his mind. This long distance thing...it's just too hard for me. I don't trust you.., his words echoed in her head. He'd broken up with her. She wasn't attached to him or anything, she barely even knew him. Perhaps what hurt her so bad was coming to the realization that none of her life was left in Orange County now. It was time to pick her ass up and start over. Couldn't she just do that tomorrow?
She weaved in and out of the crowds, surprised by how many students were there already. She was attempting to take interest in random things, and then ponder about them in an effort to take her mind off of her other worries. She approached the bar, which is what appeared to be the hot spot. She ran her hand through her dark brown waves, and let them fall around her exposed shoulders. She didn't mean to barge into the girl's conversation, so she leaned against the bar to left of the group...debating on whether to order a drink or not. The bartender glanced up at her and winked, flashing her the most gorgeous smile. A drink sounded really good to her at the moment.

My mouth hung open slightly when Rea didn't seem to think it was funny. I was terribly impressed with the way she turned to my sister and with a straight face, wished her luck. I laughed again, wondering why I couldn't be more serious sometimes. Maybe if I had been, Sam wouldn't have left ... Paxton smiled at the Rea girl, but raised his eyebrows when she turned away from Ashley. You're awfully brave. He murmered, his babyface holding a childishly shocked expression, as if he were going to tell his parents. I giggled. Pax was always so cute. Another sip of my Sprite. I lowered the glass and a new girl had arrived, the kind of girl that made everyone in the room take a hit on her confidence. I looked down at my dark-wash, flared AE jeans and frowned slightly. However, I always made an attempt to be nice to whoever I met, so I stood on the bar at the bottom of my stool, leaning over the counter and grinning. 'Why don't you scoot over and join the group?' I called loudly. Pax rolled his eyes, embarassed by his practically kid sister, shoving me back down on my seat. I slapped him playfully. 'What was that for?' I demanded, happy to be coming out of my shell a bit.

I glared at the girl, Rea, who dared to threaten my authority in this situation. I was the alpha, I was the queen bee of Berlington and all occassions that were attatched to it. Including this party. I narrowed my eyes at her, a hiss practically coming from my mouth, and raised my drink above her head, tipping it onto her hair. I moved away so quickly, I couldn't know if she moved away at the last minute, she seemed to be laughing at something Carter and Paxton were doing, but it didn't matter. At least I'd made a dramatic exit and all three ... no, four of them would seem pissed off. A girl I recognized from the barn had just made her way over to the bar. I stalked over to her, sitting a little ways off from the group and sat down next to her. 'Hey Harlow. What's up with you?' I fake-smiled, crossing my legs in that bitchy way of mine, flashing another glare at Rea. If she dared even look at me again, I would give her the bird and set Mason on her once he got here. Rea looked away to hide her smile, hearing and seeing out of the corner of her eyes carter's jaw drop. for some reason it seemed to be a big feat she treated everyone the same, but she didn't understand why. rea was not a huge genius about authorities in high school, and ranks, but she knew cliques, and she knew what she was in, wanted to be in, and what she didn't. and when she wanted to be in a clique, she got in a clique. everyone knew that. she looked up, her dark eyes following the newest girl, who to her looked troubled. she sipped her soda, watching the ripples go through. Rea felt ashley glare at her and held back a smirk. she knew she was making her jealous because she was feeling threatened, which was really pathetic. she heard what sounded like a cat hissing before an attack, her eye immediately going to the girl, who dared and poured, what, beer? on her head. rea bit her mouth shut a minute, letting it drip down, then glared over to ashley so quickly it wasn't promising it actually happened. then she quickly changed to a brightly false smile. "thanks ashley, i was about to get a drink anyway." she said.

Harlow continued to make eye contact with the bartender, waiting for her turn. She was usually him to block out the spat that was...so obviously happening next to her. Even over the booming music, anyone within a five foot radius could hear everything that was being said. She looked away for a moment to get a good look at the girl who seemed to be the problem. She looks like a problem.., she thought as she took in the pink hair and piercings. She looked like someone who didn't fit the "rich girl", Gucci and Prada standards that everyone was somehow supposed to fit and buy into. There was a part of her that felt bad, cause there wasn't really a place for her. At least not here anyway. As she observed the rest of the group, she only recognized Ashley. At least she knew one person here...? Right. She decided not to bother them, as they seemed to be having a..lovely..conversation without her. Perhaps it would just be her and the bartender all night, which wasn't bad at all...
She was just about to say something to him, when one of the blondes called over to her. Her spastic way of doing it was a little odd, but it made her feel less tense. She was quite thankful, she needed to feel that for the moment. She was about to reply, when she noticed some guy yank the chick down into her seat. She leaned forward to get a better look at him, trying not to make it noticeable. She hoped the chick wasn't his girlfriend, cause he was adorable. Maybe tonight would be alright after all. Just as she was about to join their group, the pink haired girl snapped at Ashley. Since Ashley was sort of her only friend....the girl's action didn't sit well with her. Although she hadn't been in on their conversation for too long, she seriously didn't like that girl. People like her just don't belong here. But Harlow was way too reclusive to say anything. She was the farthest thing from a fighter. She watched closely as Ashley poured her drink on the girl. It was so quick she wasn't sure if she'd imagined it or not...and before the girl could even react, Ashley was already gone and heading over to her. Once she was seated, Harlow wasn't even sure what to say. "Seriously Ashley? What was that? She's gonna come over here and kill you!", she said in a low whisper. She'd only been here for a few days and she was already going to witness a murder...
((Hope you don't mind Harlow being interested in Paxton. I know he's interested in Katie...but it could be some good drama ^.^)) [/right][/blockquote]

just dance.through the eyes of ashley westwoodI giggled as Harlow whispered to me, shocked. I took it as a compliment; I'd been wanting to do something bold tonight, and I'd already checked it off the list. Add kissing Junior into the mix, and it just might go down as the perfect evening. 'Ah, she'll get over it. Bitch deserved it, right?' I giggle-whispered. Rea called something from where she was sitting, soaked in my Cosmo, go figure, the poor little thing probably thought it was beer. I didn't hear her over the music, so I just sat with my legs toward Harlow and ignored the chaos occuring behind my back. Carter was rushing around behind the bar for a towel while the bartender tried to chase her out. My little sister grabbed a cloth, headed back and began drying Rea's hair as gently as if she were her own little doll. Carter was almost too sweet and kind sometimes. Paxton was trying to help, glaring at anybody that looked over here. Somewhere between the angry stares and words he met Harlow's eyes and smiled gently, raising a hand in a little wave. Then it was back to Rea, who looked extremely pissed off and rather hysterical, a psycho smile plastered on her face. Of course, I didn't see any of this. I wasn't watching, right? Ok, I had turned around to get a glimpse of it. But only to make myself proud with the mess I'd created. I'd possibly just destroyed Rea's chances of getting anywhere at Berlington High. So long, Student Council senior class president. I giggled again; the bartender had slipped me another Cosmo with a wink. I winked back flirtatiously, brow raised, cocked my head back and gulped it down. Feed the rich, and fuck the poor. Fuck Rea Landree. through the eyes of paxton bold.I couldn't believe what Ashley had just done. In fact, I was in such a shock, I could almost say we weren't friends anymore. I raced to the rescue, patting Rea on the back. 'It's okay.' We were barely acquaintances, let alone close, but I would defend her dignity. Several girls dancing near us began laughing and I slipped into the group, arms around them. 'Hello ladies.' I smiled. 'Now, am I going to have to bribe you with drinks to get you to stop laughing at my friend, or can we just settle with a kiss?' I smiled. The girls giggled, and being only freshman, all three leaned in eagerly for my lips. 'Uh-uh-uh! Tsk tsk, one at a time! On the cheek, on the cheek!' Each girl planted a slobbery wet one on the side of my face and left blushing, Rea's embarassment forgotten. I grinned, leaving the dance floor and passing several glares onto the older guys staring at Rea. They rolled their eyes and stared back at their drinks. They weren't getting any tonight, so it wasn't like they had anything better to do. I laughed to myself and began to help Carter dry the poor girl's head. Stupid Ashley. This was all her fault. I looked over to give her a dissapointed look, but she had her back turned, playing the fool, oblivious. Instead, I locked eyes with those of a pretty brunette, and I smiled back. I didn't recognize her, so I gave a little wave before stuffing my hands back in my pockets, giving the impression of a sweet little boy seeing his schoolgirl crush for the first time. It was completely innocent, I meant nothing by it, though I did think she was pretty. Katie wasn't as pretty as she was, but that didn't change a thing. I could hardly wait for her to just get here. OOC Not at all, gave me a great muse boost. (:

Rea smiled her thanks to carter. "thanks, i'm not sure i'd have sense to do that right away." she said honestly. she was surprised the girl and paxton would help her, they barely new each other. some people are just naturally nice. her dad constantly smiled. she could just imagine a twinkle in his eyes. unlike you. she smiled to herself. she couldn't help it, she always ended up picking a fight. she'd fought so much, mostly verbal but never afraid to get physical. people never believed her when she told the truth. she came from a wealthy family and she was rich. how else do you explain the mansion overlooking the beach? although res had her own little apartment. she was really sick of it, dabbing at her soaked hsirt and jeans. whatever, she would get over it. i mean, it wasn't like the end of the world. "no offense, but feel bad for your sister. she made an assumption that i was a scene freak and then-well, actually, hmm..." rea thought, troubling herself. the rumors had spread about her, since she came only this year have you heard if the girl with the sick hair and temper to match? had been spread around. she looked thoughtful, sweeping her hair up into a ponytail. rea was just too used to disappointments to be fully pissed, but she wasn't happy.

Harlow just stared at Ashley. Apparently she had thought Harlow was joking when she said the girl could kill her, because she was totally laughing about it. Sooo not funny! Bitch deserved it, right? Pssh. Yeah of course she deserved it, but would she ever do that? Hell no. Harlow had grown up so sheltered. She was always one to hold back her opinions and especially her actions. If Ashley knew that, she'd probably think that she had so much to learn. "Yeah. Totally. She was asking for it..", she said with a hint of uncertainty. She glanced past Ashley and rolled her eyes at the scene that was before her. Everyone was freaking out...running around..catering to the girl as if she mattered. Like they'd never seen this happen at a bar before. Harlow wondered if she should get up and bow down to her. Maybe buy her a drink? Ask her if the poor little girl was alright? Seriously. People were crazy. "Do you even...", her voice trailed off when the blonde boy caught her gaze. She couldn't help but smile at him. She made sure it looked normal...and not to excited. She tilted her head a little as he waved...then stuffed his hands in his pockets. It was so cute and childish...so not like Harlow to be into that. She shook the thought and looked back at Ashley. "Um. Oh..do you even know her?" [/right][/blockquote]

the lights of the nightclub burned her eyes as she stepped into the scene. she had decided to wear a dress as usual and she didn't know why, but that had been katie's style. her beautiful, brown eyes searched out paxton. where was he? the boy had been the closest thing to adorable for katie and she never fell in love or fell for anyone, but she had fallen for him. as she stepped carefully around a couple grinding against one another, she found paxton and her face lit up. she recognized his messy hair and adorable outfit. as she got closer, she covered his eyes with her hands and leaned close to his ears. "Guess who?' she giggled softly, planting a kiss on his neck. she sent a shiver of excitement up her spine and she was thankful that she had met the boy. katie knew she was falling in love, but what could she do about it? if this is what love felt like, count her in.

Junior walked into the night club. He was wearing a nice black button up dress shirt with a tie and his sleeves rolled up and black faded designer pants. He wasn’t all dolled up but good enough he thought anyway. He put a little gel in his hair to spike it slightly. He thought he looked ok. So this party was all he had been hearing about for days even weeks. He of course had to check it out. He knew that Ash would be there. Duh it was her party of course. He would try and stay away from her as much as he could. He really didn’t want to have a bad night because of what happened. He was single and there was going to be a room full of girls. Maybe even some single. So of Junior would try to have as much fun as he could without thinking of the girl that broke his heart. Hey, he could try right. So Junior walked deeper into the club. There were quite a few people here already. Sweet. The place looked great. All the lights and he music. But he was getting thirsty. Junior saw a group of people at the bar and of course Ashley was among them. She looked amazing. But he didn’t want to go over there. So Junior headed over to a part of the bar where no one was standing. I’ll have a Dr. Pepper please. He was just feeling a soda for now. It sounded good. And when the bartender brought it to him he grabbed it, turned around and leaned against the bar just looking out at everyone. So far everyone looked happy and seemed to be having a good time. Junior wondered if anyone would talk to him.

Holli had heard about the party and thought it would be fun to go interact with people. She didn’t have many friends and thought maybe this would be a great place to meet new people. She was wearing a black halter top with diamonds all over and a white mini skirt. It wasn’t super short but above her knees. It was layered and pretty. She wore hoop ear rings and necklace. Her hair was up and curled with her bangs down to one side. She didn’t get really dressed but just something nice for the party. Holli didn’t want to wear jeans. Not to a club where you are going to be dancing. No way. Holli looked around trying to find anyone she knew. She really didn’t know many people but had seen them around school. Well there was Carter and Ashley, she knew them. Holli put on a smile and walked over to Carter. Hey. Holli’s voice had a hint of shyness. She wasn’t the type of person to go out and talk to everyone. But she would. It just took a lot of guts and talking into. As she waited for Carter, she looked around. The place was very pretty. She was glad she came

just dance through the eyes of ashley westwood
I smiled as Harlow agreed. I knew I had been right. We would make great friends. I smiled proudly, staring off into space, looking over to the club entrance every few moments to check if anyone else had arrived. Mason in particular was the one I was looking for, he would just add to the drama. As long as he wasn't too consumed in the whole I-love-Cassie crap he'd done lately. Oh, uh, do you even know her? Harlow asked me. She seemed distracted, but by what, I had no clue. I hadn't been watching her, just glaring at Rea, soaking up my victory. 'Not really. But she's running against me for class president and I hear she wanted to get on the equestrian team to make me angry.' I said, smirking. Finally snapping out of my somewhat daze, I looked over at Harlow, timid and afraid. The catty face washed away, replaced by concern. 'Are you worried about me being mean?' I asked, now looking a little worried. My other friends, the Elites, had always supported me being mean. They liked when I was mean. Now that one of my new friends, Harlow, didn't seem to like it, I was a little worried about whether I should stop.
Looking back over at the club entrance, I recognized a familiar face entering through the smoke and lights. Junior Fountaine. I immediately wanted to jump under the bar and hide from him, but I knew at the same time I wanted to run over and apologize for everything. I watched his entrance. It was quiet, subdued. Before I'd broken his heart, I knew he would have come in loudly, talking to everyone, with several girls on him within ten seconds. He just had that magnitude, that gravity. I didn't know what those words meant, but if I had, I would have used them. He walked over to the bar and I instantly saw my chance to talk to him again. 'I've got to go see an old friend.' I murmered to Harlow softly, hoping that she wasn't angry with me. I slid out of my barstool and walked several paces down to the very end, where he was sitting. I sat next to him quietly, Cosmo in hand. 'Hey, June.' I squeaked. Why couldn't I just be strong and apologize now?
through the eyes of paxton bold
Looking away from the pretty, dark-headed girl who'd just smiled at me, I watched the bartender. For a moment, I thought about getting a drink, but gave it up. I would have been taking something alcoholic and I knew that wasn't a good example to be setting for Carter. Believe it or not, ladies and gentlemen, I closely followed Miss BHS, and I didn't know how much was the truth about Carter's new take on life. She didn't seem to have changed, but I knew how easy it was to put up that mask.
My thoughts were taken off this, and my whole body was set on fire when I felt soft hands cover my eyes and lips on the back of my neck. A voice asked me if I knew just who was giving me this. I knew. Katie Landry, and it was driving me crazy. I'd had no clue she liked me this much. I hoped my body wasn't obviously covered in goosebumps now because I could feel the hair raised on my neck, and that wasn't very attractive to begin with. I wanted to whip around and kiss her full on the lips, but I restrained myself. Slipping out from under her hands, I turned to wrap my arms around her waist. 'Hello, Katie, dear.' I smiled shyly from under my man-bangs. I looked her up and down, purposely theatrical, my hand in hers now, and grinned. 'You look beautiful tonight.' I smiled, stepping back, holding her hand out as if we were dancing in slow motion. 'Turn for me.' I laughed, spinning her in a 360. I approved as she twirled back to me. 'Mmmm. Did you get all dressed up for me?' I smirked, pulling her back in to me with my hands on her hips, my lips on her cheek.
OOC I'll do Carter's later, sorry! ): [/blockquote][/right]
